Meet Our Team

Veterinarian Dr. David Hocher

Dr. David Hocher is the owner of Round Rock Animal Hospital and has been practicing veterinary medicine since June of 1992. After receiving his B.A. from Baylor University in 1987, he earned his D.V.M. from Texas A&M.  Dr. Hocher and his wife have 3 sons and enjoy being involved in all their activities. He and his wife are active members in their church, where he plays keyboards for the church worship band.  Dr. Hocher and family have 2 Carin Terriers "Muffin" and "Coco", a cat named "Choxie" and their chinchilla "Kiwi". Dr. Hocher enjoys meeting and developing new relationships with other Central Texas residents and their pets.  Some of his interests in veterinary medicine include preventative and dental care.

Veterinarian Dr. Sarah DeCiero is a native New Yorker.  She earned her Degree of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013.  After completing the classroom portion of veterinary school, she performed a clinical rotation for a year at the University of Minnesota.  Dr. DeCiero has many interests in veterinary medicine, which include dentistry, animal behavior, soft tissue surgery, and nutrition.  When not improving the lives of beloved pets she enjoys playing ultimate Frisbee, hiking, camping and traveling.  Dr. DeCiero has a dog named "Tybee" and 2 cats “Moose” and “Monkey” that help keep her and her husband company while relaxing at home.

Veterinarian Dr. Sharon Waters is a transplant from the East Texas area.  Her special interests include canine and feline internal medicine, dentistry, and wound healing.

In her free time Dr. Waters enjoys outdoor activities such as running, going to the park with her family, scrap-booking, and laughing with her two adorable little girls.  She also enjoys organizing the nursery at her local church.  Her cat Amber rules the house and can usually be found sleeping, asking for food, or plotting to ambush the children.

Practice Manager Mary has been with Round Rock Animal Hospital since August of 2000. Over the years that Mary has been with the hospital she has been a Receptionist, Veterinary Technician and in December 2007 was promoted to Practice Manager. When not at work she enjoys cooking, the company of her husband, 2 dogs "Poco" & "Marcie," their cat "Boomerang," a pot bellied pig named "Rootie," and flock of chickens.

Receptionist Jody.jpgJody was born and raised on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon. She moved to Round Rock, Texas in the fall of 2006 to be closer to her then fiancé.  Soon after moving she started working at Round Rock Animal Hospital in November of 2006. Jody loves animals and is happy to be in this field of work. In her spare time Jody enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her husband, spoiled Munchkin cat "Lily" and their hyper pooch "Momiji".

Receptionist Jacque has been with Round Rock Animal Hospital since December 2015.

Receptionist Edie.bmpEdie joined Round Rock Animal Hospital in January of 2012.  She was excited to find a place where she could combine her background in administrative support and customer service with her life long love of animals.  She lives in Round Rock with her family and their menagerie of furry and feathered friends.

Receptionist Ashley joined Round Rock Animal Hospital in November of 2013.  She is a native Texan that grew up in Georgetown, Texas.  Ashley's has a dog named "Patches;" which is her childhood pet.  When she's not with us at the hospital, she spends her time with her daughter, hunting or fishing.

Lead Veterinary Technician Jonathan has been a Veterinary Technician since 2001.  He has worked at veterinary clinics and hospitals of all sizes in New York, New Jersey and Texas. He has been with Round Rock Animal Hospital since September 2006. Jonathan has always enjoyed animals and holds a special fondness for reptiles, of which he has many. Thankfully he gets lots of help caring for his reptiles from his daughter, who of course likes the snakes the most.

Registered Veterinary TechnicianStacy.jpg Stacy joined Round Rock Animal Hospital in 1985. She has enjoyed working with our clients and their pets, she can't imagine being anywhere else. She has 2 beautiful adult daughters and a dog named "Jingle". When she's not working she loves to play soccer and spend time with her girls.

Veterinary Technician Blake has been working at Round Rock Animal Hospital since September of 2008 and loves every minute of it. Being able to help people and their pets really brings great joy to Blake's day.  In addition to being a Vet Tech he is also a member of the Companion Animal Parasite Council.  Blake also gains valuable emergency experience by doing relief work with one of Round Rock's local animal emergency hospitals.  His future plans include pursuing a degree in Cytology/Pathology.  While at home he enjoys the company of his hyper pooch "Toby" and caring for his many exotic fish.

Surgery Technician Sabrina joined Round Rock Animal Hospital in 2005.  Sabrina her husband and their sons share their home with 2 dogs, "Rocky" and "Logan Bear" and 2 cats "Dimitri" and "Willow".

Veterinary Technician Kumiko joined our team in May of 2014.  She completed her internship with Round Rock Animal Hospital for her certified veterinary assistant course and graduated in 2013.  Kumiko is from Osaka, Japan and moved to Texas with her Texan husband in 2007.  She with her very first pet, a 13 year old cat named "Mona," who she credits with inspiring her career and her husband.  When she is not caring for patients with us, she enjoys watching Turner Classic Movies and caring for sick puppies as a shelter volunteer. lives

Lead Kennel Tech Michael joined Round Rock Animal Hospital in November of 2013.

Kennel Technician Lauren joined Round Rock Animal Hospital in August of 2015

Kennel Tech Lindsey joined Round Rock Animal Hospital in June of 2016.

Kennel Tech Kris joined Round Rock Animal Hospital in July of 2015.

Kennel Tech Chris joined Round Rock Animal Hospital in July of 2016
